Anxiety

Many people experience anxiety symptoms at some point in their lives. Anxiety can feel like an intense fear, nervousness, overreactions, panic, worrying, stress, and restlessness. Anxiety can manifest itself into physical symptoms as well such as stomach aches, muscle pains, shaking, heart racing, and sweating. Anxiety triggers the fight, flight, or freeze response in our brain which causes our nervous system to become activated. There are many types of different anxiety disorders such as panic disorder, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, phobias, and separation anxiety. Experiencing anxiety can have a negative impact on your mental health, sleep, physical health, relationships, ,and work. Therapy can be a helpful tool to aide in treating symptoms of anxiety.
